Jennifer Echenim

I’m Jennifer Echenim. I live in Dubai, where I develop the future.

Growing up, I had a spiked-up interest and passion for technology in general; creative things, finding solutions. I would pick up (a less expensive) electronic device in the house, and try to uncouple, it just so I can find out the reverse engineering process. This nurtured my delve into the world of Electrical/Electronic Engineering, which I studied in the university. I was mostly interested in things that tasked my brainpower and it was nothing short of my expectations.

I've always been drawn to the captivating world of technology and innovation. My journey began in university, where I immersed myself in programming languages like MATLAB, C, and Python. What started as coursework soon transformed into a fervent passion. Late-night study sessions and assisting fellow students became my norm as I delved deeper into the art of coding.

Over the years, my dedication has evolved into a passion for web development. I've delved deep into JavaScript, TypeScript, and various frontend frameworks. Practical application has become my forte, as I collaborate on real-world projects, crafting impactful solutions for websites.

But my journey didn't stop there. I found a sense of belonging in tech communities, where I co-organized digital training sessions and hackathons. These experiences nurtured not only my skills but also my commitment to mentorship and community building.

Currently serving as a Senior Frontend Engineer and BUIDLer. I have moved between industries from finance to healthcare to blockchain, where I have developed innovative solutions in the space. My work includes projects like Bloccpay, which is at the forefront of revolutionizing the digital currency landscape.

Additionally, I hold key leadership roles in tech communities. I am the Community and Tech Lead of Web3Afrika, an initiative focused on empowering Africans in the Web3 space, both on the continent and in the diaspora. I also lead the dynamic community of Web3Ladies, which is dedicated to bringing women into tech and the exciting world of Web3.

As recognition poured in, I realized the profound potential of technology to shape the future. Today, I stand at the intersection of innovation and expertise, eagerly anticipating the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Welcome to my portfolio, where I invite you to explore the fascinating world of tech through my lens.
